Late Night Jam Session: Romme/Fogh/Nilsson

Tickets
Stjerne-jam hver aften klokken 23-03 under Copenhagen Jazzfestival

Jam-sessions at Montmartre during Copenhagen Jazz Festival in July – every night from 11 PM to 3 AM
Over the years, our Late Night Jams have become a popular institution during the festival week. Numerous visiting jazz stars head to Store Regnegade 19a after their official concerts around the city to meet colleagues and spontaneously take the stage.
If you want to skip the queue at the door, it’s a good idea to secure tickets in advance, so you can walk straight in.
Among the stars who have spontaneously shown up at the door and "taken over" the venue over the years are Stevie Wonder, as well as star vocalists Macy Gray and Charenee Wade.
Other top artists who have graced the stage include Ambrose Akinmusire, Thomas Morgan, Vanja Santos, Chris Potter, Bobby Watson, Pierre Bousaget, Johnathan Blake, Rodney Green, Christian Sands, Kenny Werner, David Bryant, George Garzone, Jorge Rossy, Doug Raney, Billy Hart, Lee Pearson, Greg Hutchinson, Eric Harland, Dave Kikoski, David Sanchez, Diego Figueiredo, and many more.
In other words: You never know what might happen.
To kickstart each night and guide the proceedings, we’ve engaged this stellar lineup of musicians from different backgrounds:
Anders Fjeldsted (bass): Regular jam host at Montmartre. Has won the "Getxo International Jazz Contest" and the Bent Jædig Prize.
Cornelia Nilsson (drums): Winner of the Ben Webster Prize and has played drums in Kenny Barron’s trio for a period.
Mathias Petri (bass): Graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and regular bassist in OTOOTO, as well as numerous other groups.
Snorre Kirk (drums): One of the most understated and timeless musicians of recent times.
Zier Romme (piano): Many call him "the Danish Oscar Peterson." He started at RMC at 19, but only stayed for two years, saying "you learn more by going out and playing with people who are better than yourself."
Rune Fogh (bass): An unshakeable bassist who has played with Louis Hayes, among others.
Filip Ekestubbe (piano): Known for his improvisational skills and unique approach to jazz.
Andreas Svendsen (drums): Former regular host at the legendary jazz club "Smalls" in New York, after completing his master's degree from the Manhattan School of Music.
Rasmus Sørensen (piano): Up-and-coming pianist who, after years in New York City, has returned home. Last year, he won a DMA for his album "Balancing Act," which featured Kendrick Scott on drums.
Jakob Lindberg (drums): Virtuoso and a permanent part of the Danish established jazz scene.
Sven Erik Lundeqvist (piano): Well-grounded improviser who masters energetic swing and is technically superior.
