Wolfgang Muthspiel Trio
Following the release of his two highly acclaimed quintet albums and the premiere of his major project "Large Ensemble" in the fall of 2019, the Austrian guitarist Wolfgang Muthspiel has increasingly devoted himself to the classical trio formation. Flanked by one of the most sought-after rhythm groups of our time in the form of bassist Larry Grenadier and drummer Jorge Rossy, Muthspiel will this evening in Beta play compositions from the latest album from 2020.
The three musicians are part of an ongoing, musical dialogue from the first beat to the last, where the notes from Muthspiel's acoustic guitar with great elegance carry the music forward. The trio with Jorge Rossy and Larry Grenadier forms a perfectly coordinated team that, with its free-flowing and expansive approach to the music, creates vast and captivating musical experiences for the audience.
