Riccardo Del Fra Quintet: Moving People – Album Release

“Premium” is Montmartre’s series of rare intimate concerts with jazz giants that you cannot normally meet on small intimate stages. These concerts are priced above the normal tickets to cover costs and travel for these heavy-weights.
Riccardo Del Fra (Bass/Compositions / FR)Tomasz Dabrowski (Trumpet/Flugelhorn / PL)Jan Prax (Sax / DE)Carl-Henri Moriset (Piano / FR)Nicolas Fox (Drums / FR)

Italian bass player and composer Riccardo del Fra belongs to the absolute elite of Mediterranean bass players. His steady and highly musical playing was the favorite choice for trumpeter/singer Chet Baker when he toured Europe. Riccardo del Fra moved to Paris in the 1980s. Here he teaches at the Music Conservatory and performs at concerts and clubs with French musicians. Riccardo Del Fra is recognized by the great sound from his instrument and for his use of flageolets when soloing; an exciting musician with a lot to offer.

This concert is presented in co-operation with Goethe-Institut Dänemark.
