The award-winning and internationally recognized North Jutlandic musician Kenneth Dahl Knudsen takes ancient musical traditions on new journeys with a strong sextet consisting of fantastic musicians with roots in various traditions from classical Syrian music to Israeli jazz piano and Ukrainian folk songs.
From his base in North Jutland, he puts ancient musical traditions and their living mediators into play - with the thoroughness of the composer, the wildness of the jazz musician and the infinite curiosity of the anthropologist. We're set for a beautiful, poetic and melancholic experience in the company of ATLAS.
SPECIAL GUEST: NEBULAH
NEBULAH plays dreamy and experimental vocal-based music that lets the listener get swept up by atmospheric vocals and eccentric guitar. The music takes you us a journey through dreams and into a state of constant fluidity between reality and fantasy where we where we must let go of our urge to control - a flight from reality depicted in songs about relationships, generational breakdown, longing, fear and the desire for freedom.
The band has created a distinctive sound and performance, with three lead vocals filling the space with tension-filled choral harmonies, improvisation and their shared narratives intertwined with expressive and riff-based guitar playing.
NEBULAH consists of Katrine Kjeldskov Kirketerp, Janne Hagen Therkildsen, Hannah Busk Larsen and Elisabeth Panduro Holst, and as an artistic tool in their songwriting, production and during live concerts, the band experiments with improvisation and effects pedals on both guitar and vocals.
