
The American saxophonist Rick Margtiza has for many years lived in New York, where he worked with i.a. McCoy Tyner, Tony Williams, Chick Corea and Miles Davis. Throughout his career, he has always led his own jazz groups at clubs in New York as well as at concerts around the world and has even released three albums on the legendary record company Blue Note.
The Italian pianist and composer Antonio Ciacca has also made his mark as a musician in the Big Apple. During the 1990s and early 2000s, he toured the world with i.a. Joe Henderson, Steve Lacy, Lee Konitz and Johnny Griffin.
The audience can therefore look forward to an incredible evening at BETA during the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, where two of jazz's great heavyweights will treat the ear canals with a rarely heard level of sublime musical compositions.

Han har gennem hele sin karriere altid ledet sine egne jazzgrupper på klubber i New York, såvel som til koncerter rundt omkring i hele verden, og har tilmed udgivet hele tre albums på det legendariske pladeselskab Blue Note.
