It’s always interesting to follow the development in music in other countries; especially when the bet is on personal contributions to already established music. The French singer and composer Manu Le Prince is in front of the row when we talk of Brazilian music; whether bossa-nova, samba or newer still-growing forms. Le Prince has experience in fusion music as well as more pop-oriented music, but her current expression approaches the authentic Braz-jazz more and more. Here, she presents, with her own group consisting of Brazilian musicians, a repertoire that celebrates the Brazilian songwriter giants João Gilberto and Tom Jobim.
