With a star-studded orchestra consisting of distinctive soloists and with a customized repertoire based on the joy of playing, presence and swing not the least, the drummer and composer Snorre Kirk has in record time made his orchestra one of the most sought-after both nationally and internationally.

Snorre Kirk made a name for himself as a composer and bandleader with the critically acclaimed debut album “Blues Modernism” in 2012, which resulted in both the JazzSpecial-award “album of the year” plus two nominations at Danish Jazz Awards. The following albums “Europa” (2015), “Drummer & Composer” (2017) and “BEAT” (2018) paved the way for an international turning point in Kirk’s career and has brought him to some of the world’s leading jazz festivals in Europe, USA and Asia. Autumn 2019 Snorre Kirk released his fifth album “Tangerine Rhapsody”. Consisting of an eclectic mixture of exotic rhythms and colorful compositions, this is Kirk’s most ambitious and personal project so far.
